With over 15 years of experience building websites and applications, I’ve worked across a wide range of tools and platforms – so I always tailor the tech stack to suit your specific needs, not just what’s trending.
For most projects, I start with one of two proven foundations:
- Custom WordPress development – ideal for content-heavy websites where ease of editing, SEO, and long-term flexibility are key.
- A React-based stack using Next.js – great for modern, fast-loading sites and apps. I often pair this with platforms like Supabase to handle databases, authentication, and file storage securely and efficiently.
I also integrate third-party APIs, headless CMSs like Payload, and deployment tools like Vercel or AWS depending on the project. My goal is always to choose the right tech for your goals. Whether you’re launching a new startup or evolving an existing site, I can help.
Do I need to use WordPress?
Not necessarily. WordPress is popular for good reason – it’s flexible, reliable, and works well for content-heavy sites that need SEO tools and an easy-to-use editor.
However, it’s not the best fit for every project. If you need more custom functionality, performance, or scalability, I might recommend a React-based stack with tools like Payload CMS or Supabase instead.
I’ll always suggest the most suitable approach based on your specific goals and long-term needs.
How long for you to build an app or a website?
It depends on the scope. A typical marketing website or user-friendly app might take 2 to 6 weeks, especially if the content and design are ready. An MVP with more custom functionality usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on complexity and feedback cycles.
I’ll always give you a realistic timeline upfront and keep you updated throughout the project so there are no surprises.
Do I need to have an existing design for you to build?
If you already have a designer or a finished design then that’s great. That can help speed up the initial scoping process, and I’m always happy to collaborate with other creatives.
If you don’t have a design yet, that’s no problem. For projects that need a custom design, I work closely with Ben Hemery, Head of Design at Dream Digital (where I lead development). We’ve worked together for over 8 years, and our process is fast, focused, and proven.

Do you offer assistance or on-going support after launch?
Certainly! I offer ongoing support options tailored to the type of project. For a marketing website, this might be a light retainer covering CMS updates and occasional content tweaks. For more complex builds like an MVP, I can provide hypercare support in the first few months to help with bug fixes, stability, and user feedback.
I also offer SLA-backed maintenance agreements if you need guaranteed response times or long-term coverage. We can discuss the right level of support based on what your project needs after launch.
What does it cost to work with you?
Since I provide bespoke development tailored to each client’s specific needs, it’s difficult to give accurate costs without first understanding the project. I don’t offer off-the-shelf packages and every build is custom, shaped by your goals, functionality, and content requirements.
That said, to give you a rough idea:
- A small marketing website or app with a few core pages typically starts from £2,500+VAT, depending on complexity.
- MVPs or custom platforms often fall in the £10,000 to £100,000+VAT range, depending on features, integrations, and timelines.
- Consultation services (such as technical planning, audits, or architecture advice) I can offer on a day-rate basis, with fixed fees depending on scope.
For smaller pieces of work or ongoing support, I offer hourly or day rates. But for most projects, I’ll provide a fixed quote once we’ve had a chance to talk through what you’re looking to build.
Can you help scope or plan the project if we don't have everything ready?
Absolutely. A lot of clients come to me with a rough idea, a few sketches, or some goals – but no fully defined brief. That’s totally normal.
I can help you shape your ideas into a clear, realistic scope by working through the technical requirements, priorities, and potential approaches. Whether you’re planning a marketing site, an MVP, or something more custom, I’ll guide you through the planning process and help you figure out what’s essential for launch, and a roadmap for future phases.
